Who can do it?
OHCs are audiologists, physicians, occupational health nurses, human resources directors, workplace safety officers or any person interested in occupational hearing conservation or appointed by management to perform audiometric testing or enforce HCP compliance.
You can do it!
To become a Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist (COHC), a candidate must complete a CAOHC-approved, 20-hour course and receive a passing score on the written and practical exams given at the end of the course.
This assessment-based certification exam covers only the information presented during the course. No prerequisites are required.

Description
Attendees must have access to an otoscope and 4 types of hearing protection for the required hearing protection practicum.
Cancellation / Attendance Policy: Northeast Occupational Audiology Associates reserves the right to cancel if registrations do not meet attendance expectations. If a course is cancelled, all registration fees will be refunded. Registrants may cancel up to one week prior to the course and receive a refund less $100.00 processing fee. There are no refunds for failure to appear at any course. Registrants must completely attend a course to be eligible for either the certification exam or recertification exam.

To maintain your certification, you must complete a CAOHC-approved, 8-hour course and receive a passing score on the written and practical exams given at the end of the course.
This assessment-based certification exam covers only the information presented during the course. Your CAOHC certification cannot be expired.
